Migrate from Strava

Bring your Strava history to Stridee.

Forward one email and we import your full history — the original .fit, .gpx and .tcx files, plus names, gear and descriptions. Anything you already have is skipped automatically.

Request your Strava archive

Three steps, about four minutes

  1. 1
On Strava (web), open Settings → Account → Download your information and click Request your archive.
  2. 2
When Strava emails you the download link, forward that email to import@stridee.fit.
  3. 3
We email you a one-click confirmation link. Click it and we import everything in the background — you'll get an email when it's done.

No account needed to start, nothing to download or upload, and no tab to keep open.

What gets imported.

We import the original source files your watch wrote, not flattened summaries.

The original files

.fit, .fit.gz, .gpx, .gpx.gz, .tcx and .tcx.gz are re-uploaded as-is — every data stream the file contains is preserved.

Name, type, gear, description

The title, activity type, shoe or bike and any notes you wrote are re-attached to the matching activity automatically.

No activity limit

Years of training, thousands of activities — all of it. We pull and process the archive in the background, server-side.

Not imported: photos, kudos, comments, segments and club memberships.

No duplicates

Already syncing from Garmin? We won't double-count.

If you already have activities on Stridee — synced from Garmin, Apple Watch, Wahoo or COROS — we re-read the original timestamps server-side and skip anything that matches an existing workout within ±60 seconds and ±5% of the distance.

Safe to forward more than once

Re-forwarding the same archive does nothing — each Strava activity is tracked by ID, so it never duplicates.

Workouts already on Stridee

A start-time and distance match catches activities already synced from your watch or head unit.

We re-read the FIT timestamps

We don't rely on filenames — the server opens each file and reads the exact UTC time it was recorded.

How matching works

Match — Strava upload skipped
Within 60s and 5% of distance ⇒ same workout. Your Garmin record stays the source of truth.

Stuck, or something looks off?

If your archive didn't download or an import shows as failed, request a fresh export from Strava and forward it again. Still stuck? We're happy to help.
