How does the waitlist work?

You'll land on the waitlist when an event is **full** or **requires the organizer's approval**. Spots are filled in the order people signed up. ## What happens to my payment? For paid events that need approval, your card is **authorized** but **not charged**. You're only charged if the organizer approves you. The hold is released back to your card automatically: - If the organizer **declines** you or you **leave the waitlist** — released immediately. - If the organizer **doesn't review your registration within 7 days** — the hold expires and is released by your bank. We'll email you to renew it so you don't lose your spot. ## Leaving the waitlist You can remove yourself anytime from the event page. Any payment hold is cancelled right away.
